EVE Energy Inaugurates Power Electronics Lab, Establishing Strategic Anchor for Grid-Forming Storage Technology

Feb 26,2026

Recently, EVE Energy officially opened its Power Electronics Lab at the Energy Storage Institute (Wuhan). The commissioning of the lab marks the completion of EVE Energy’s full-chain core technology layout in energy storage — from cells to systems, from DC to AC — and signifies that its in-house R&D capabilities have entered the stage of system-level innovation.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Liu Jincheng, Chairman of EVE Energy, stated that the company has established systemic competitiveness in large cylindrical and prismatic battery technologies. He emphasized that the current strategic focus lies in building core capabilities in electrochemical energy storage grid-forming technology — namely, in-house PCS R&D capability. The lab is designed precisely to provide an engineering platform and validation for this capability.

Dr. Liu further elaborated that the deep integration of photovoltaics and electrochemical energy storage serves as the technological foundation of the new-type power system and a critical pathway to advancing universal energy access globally. EVE Energy has evolved from a cell supplier to a system solution provider in this process. The launch of the Power Electronics Lab represents a systematic extension of the company’s technological innovation capabilities — from materials and electrochemistry to power electronics and control. It is a key initiative driving a new phase of development powered by comprehensive innovation on a hundred-billion-scale platform.

The Power Electronics Lab at EVE Energy’s Energy Storage Institute (Wuhan) integrates office, R&D, testing, and prototyping functions. Covering multiple power levels, it delivers full-process, closed-loop R&D validation capabilities — from single boards to systems, hardware to software, and simulation to physical testing. The lab provides an iterative and replicable support system for the engineering implementation of grid-forming energy storage technology.

Strengthening Industrial Chain Collaboration, EVE Energy Signs Technology Cooperation Agreements

At the event, EVE Energy signed technology cooperation agreements with Shenzhen MEGMEET Electrical Co., Ltd. and Ningbo AUX Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Tong Yongsheng, Chairman of MEGMEET, and Ms. Wu Xiaoli, Executive President of Power Distribution at AUX Intelligent, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks.

The collaboration focuses on joint R&D in power electronics, system integration co-development, and testing resource sharing. The goal is to enhance product performance and system matching efficiency through deep technical synergy. This move marks EVE Energy’s accelerated evolution toward a technology platform enterprise, leveraging industrial chain resources to build a collaborative innovation ecosystem that provides strong support for the continuous iteration of energy storage system integration capabilities.
