EVE insists on optimizing the energy structure by reducing the use of fossil energy, actively adopting renewable energy, giving priority to the purchase of hydro, wind and photovoltaic power, replacing coal with natural gas, and constructing distributed photovoltaic power stations on factory roofs and parking lots. Meanwhile, EVE reduces the discharge of solid waste, increase the proportion of renewable metals, and promote the electrification of employees' commuting. In 2021, the renewable electricity accounted for 41% and we reduced carbon by about 80,000 tons.

Our energy management system has obtained SGS certification. The energy management system guides us to formulate energy efficiency indicators, purchase low-energy-consumption equipment, use IoT technology and cloud platform to dispatch energy-consuming equipment, continue to carry out clean production and improve production efficiency, reduce energy consumption in the production process; promote green manufacturing in the supply chain, and reduce raw materials carbon emissions during the production process.

Build an intelligent cloud platform of digital carbon management

The S-Carbon, intelligent cloud platform of digital carbon management, developed by SGS is based on the SGS greenhouse gas accounting and verification solution and the greenhouse gas data management system, and adopts internationally recognized methods to quantify and present carbon emission performance, which can help corporate users choose the most appropriate area, reference data and method for carbon emission calculation. The analysis results can ensure compliance with the "Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting Methods and Reporting Guidelines" issued by Chinese regulatory agencies, and can also meet the requirements of the international ISO14064-1 quantification and reporting guidelines.

The S-Carbon platform uses Azure as its operating platform, and comprehensively uses the data storage, analysis and other related services provided by Azure, which can collect, manage and evaluate all kinds of emission data of itself and suppliers and partners from upstream and downstream supply chains in a unified manner according to demand. The all-digital management method will significantly reduce the possibility of human error in the process of data storage and analysis, and greatly improve the safety and reliability of carbon emission management and the efficiency of evaluation and review.

Currently, the core functions of the S-Carbon platform include: carbon management of suppliers, the networked data acquisition for whole supply chain emissions, replacing the manual operation in carbon quantitative management, establishing and analyzing carbon emissions for business users, comparing the actual situation with estimated emissions targets, and can provide two sets of emission calculation results to meet the Chinese and international certification standard.

Mr. Sang Tian said, "For manufacturing enterprises in the energy industry, our products are widely used in the low-carbon field, such as energy storage in new electric power, electric transportation, IoT, intelligent instrument power supply. Accurate and efficient carbon management and certification system in accordance with international standards is a key guarantee for enterprises to achieve sustainable development in the global and Chinese market. Technological innovations such as cloud computing, big data, and blockchain will greatly improve the reliability, ease of use and operational efficiency of the carbon management system, and truly promote the whole value chain of more industries and enterprises, and accelerate the implementation of carbon management strategies.

Therefore, we believe that S-Carbon will greatly promote the sustainable development of the entire new energy industry, promote the entire automobile manufacturing industry, and achieve green and low-carbon technology upgrading. In the future, we will also take the lead in applying S-Carbon to low carbon and energy saving management in the upstream and downstream of the supply chain, so as to comprehensively improve the carbon management of the enterprise and the supply chain, and take firm and steady steps to implement and promote the 'double carbon' goals together with SGS and Microsoft."
